Q) WHAT SHIPPING METHODS DO I USE AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
A) Shipping is fully tracked and insured using the mainstream courier services that are experienced in dealing with fragile high end instruments and have shelves designed for guitars in which nothing can be placed on top of and carnt slip about whilst the vans moving. I offer free UK shipping on orders over 200 pounds. There is a small fee for orders up to £199.99 in which orders will be calculated automatically when going through the online checkout. Q) HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR COOL HAND GUITARS TO PAY ME MY MONEY AFTER I HAVE GIVEN THEM THE GOODS?
A) Between one and 3 days after the guitar either being collected from you or being posted to coolhand allthough ill be aiming to make payment to the seller as fast as possible.
Q) WHY IS AN ON THE SPOT PAYMENT NOT MADE UPON COLLECTION OF GOODS?
A) Incase there are any hidden issues, problems and defects with the guitar thats hard to pickup there on the spot. Bare in mind i will do a basic check on the guitar and wouldnt take if i thought there was going to be a problem so the 1-3 day grace period gives me a bit of time to have the guitar inspected properly in order to guarantee the products authenticity and good working condition.
Q) WHAT HAPPENS IF COOLHAND DECIDES HE DOESNT WANT TO BUY THE INSTRUMENT DUE TO DEFECTS OR HIDDEN ISSUES.
A) HOPEFULLY THIS WONT HAPPEN BUT IF IT DOES COOLHANDGUITARS WILL NOTIFY THE SELLER ASAP AT THE FIRST AVAILABLE OPPORTUNITY AND ARRANGE TO DELIVER IT BACK OR TO POST IT BACK FULLY INSURED USING ONE OF THE MAINSTREAM COURIER SERVICES.
Q) Is my guitar safe in transit?
A) YES IT IS
If your worried about packaging and posting guitars and also recieving guitars from me. Rest assured you dont need to be. Ive never had a guitar that has been lost or damaged in transit. I use courier services that are experienced with dealing in fragile and high end instruments and have specialised shelves in the vans made for the delivery of guitars e.g so they wont slip around and have anything dropped on them. I make sure everythings packaged properly, i used extra strong DOUBLE WALLED cardboard boxes made for guitars that can be purchased off ebay, bubble wrap to wrap the guitars body, neck and headstock in. Its common practice to slack the strings off and slide some KRAFT PAPER underneath to cover and protect the fretboard, this way the strings wont dig in and cause any damage. I use extra layers of bubble wrap underneath the guitars headstock, more so behind where the guitars nut is where the headstock joins the neck. This adds extra protection and support. Once the guitars in its case then in its box I secured the bottom with strong packing tape then i fill the box with either kraft paper or bubble wrap to stop it moving about, close and seal the top with strong packing tape, print the packing slip off for the front of the box.
Again everythings fully tracked and insured and requires signatures at the time of delivery. As its a predominintly online buisiness i go the extra mile to make everythings as good as it can be.
